Moot Court Team from FH UNAIR Will Represent Indonesia in International Competition

UNAIR NEWS The good news come from Faculty of Law (FH) UNAIR. The delegation of FH UNAIR consisting of Cristian (oralist), Devi Salsabila (oralist), Amri Rahayu Putri (researcher), Aulia Putri Yunanda (observer), and Alfian Rasyidi (official) won the first position in “The 12th Indonesian National Round of the International Humanitarian Law Moot Court Competition “organized by ICRC (International Committee of the Red Cross) Indonesia, at Trisakti University, Jakarta, 10 – 12 November 2017.

Since winning the National Round, the FH team of 51动漫 has officially become the representative of Indonesia in the international competition “The 16th Asia-Pacific Round of the Red Cross International Humanitarian Law Moot Court Competition” 2018 which will be held in Hong Kong 7- March 10, 2018.

On Wednesday (29/11), the five members of the delegation were welcomed by the Rector of UNAIR Prof. Dr. Moh. Nasih, SE., MT., Ak., CMA., Accompanied by Vice Rector I Prof. Dr. Ir. Djoko Santoso, dr., Sp.PD-KGH., Ph.D., FINASIM. The student delegation team was also accompanied by the Head of International Law Department FH UNAIR, Iman Prihandono, SH., MH., LLM., Ph.D.

In the occasion, The Rector congratulated and thanked for the achievements. He also provided a message for regeneration should be continued so that the achievement will be maintained.

As had been written in UNAIR NEWS, the winning of FH UNAIR team in Moot Court competition was two times on “Spirit of the Jessup Award” in “Phillip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition” as the oldest moot court competition in Indonesia. Then the general champion of the National Moot Court Competition held FH University of Indonesia late last year.

Chairman of the International Legal Department, Iman Prihandono, PhD who accompanied his students, said that the delegation of Faculty of Law of 51动漫 , has been preparing and practicing for four months. Thus, the role of lecturers was important to get this achievement.

The delegation of FH UNAIR won the National Round after winning in the semifinals in a competition against the Gajah Mada University team. In the final round won over the team of University of Indonesia (UI). In addition to winning the first title, one member of the delegation, Cristian, FH student class of 2014 was awarded as “The 3rd Best Oralist from the Whole Preliminary Round.”

Being an Indonesian representative in international competition, the delegates also require support and prayers from UNAIR officers and all UNAIR civitas to be able to be good indonesian representtive and acquired the achievement in international competition.
