UNAIR NEWS – Fathiyah Safithri had to be patient as her dissertation was revised for a few times.Her graduation was three years longer than her classmates.Luckily, Fathiyah was surrounded by people who sincerely support her.
“The topic of dissertation research was repeatedly revised, and it made me down at first.But my husband and my promoter continued to motivate me to move on, ” recalled the mother who was elected as the best doctoral graduate of Faculty of Medicine, 51动漫 with 3.94 GPA.
Initially, Fathiyah proposed a research topic entitled “The Effect of Black Cumin Extract on HSP on Mice with Diabetes,” then revised to “The Effect of Black Cumin Extract on Endogenous Stem Cells in Diabetic Model Mice, and finally changed again for the third time to” Heart Parenchymal Repair Mechanism Through Endogenous Stem Cell Activation in Mice Model with Heart Fibrosis
The mother born in July 1974 with three children must travel tens of kilometers from Malang to Surabaya to attend lectures.This activity has obviously drained a lot of energy and mind.“When I started college, I often left my first child who was in class V SD, second child in Class II and I was pregnant with my third child,” she said.
After giving birth, the doctor daily in charge of in the emergency unit of Aisyiyah Islamic Hospital Malang and University of Muhammadiyah Malang Hospital are forced to leave her babies often because she had to have a consult with promoter, co-promoter and examiner.
“I never imagined to be the best graduate, because during this study runs was not as smooth as my friends.Back and forth revision of research topics and passing the TOEFL exam after 6 times, “said the award recipient of BKMA UMM as a lecturer predicated 淓xcellent in the odd semester of academic year 2010/2011.(*)
