UNAIR NEWS Allah sent Alqur檃n down to provide guidance, regulations, and hints to humans to manage all aspects of life, so they just need to live based on the regulations in their own field of work. Our responsibilities are also stated, not only to ourselves but also to the Life-giver.
滱s humans, let us all try to be the best leaders in the eyes of Allah, stated Ustadz Rifhan Halili in his sermon in Excellence with Morality Hall, Faculty of Psychology 51动漫 on Wednesday, March 22. In his sermon themed 楽trategies to Improve Life and Work檚 Quality Based on Alqur檃n and Hadith was attended by 258 academicians of UNAIR.
As Allah has provided us guidance, regulations, and hints to live our lives then Allah also observes us on how we manage them. According to Ustadz Rifhan, Allah observes humans through four layers.
First layer, Allah observes us directly. Second layer, Allah sends His angels. Third layer, Allah observes us by everything seen in our visions such as our body parts as stated in Surah Yasin 65:淎l yauma nahtimu`alaa afwaahihim wa tukallimunaa aidiihim wa tasyhadu arjuluhum bimaa kaanuu yaksibuunwhich means 淭hat day, We will seal over their mouths and their hands will speak to Us, and their feet will testify about what they used to earn.
淪o all parts of our body will testify to Allah. Right now, all of them are recording everything we do, added Ustadz Rifhan.
The fourth layer, Allah observes us through everything around us: the universe. On the day of Judgment, everything around us, soil we step on, water we use, plants around us will testify about us. It is stated in Surah Az Zalzalah.
Working as Our Worship
Ustadz Rifhan encouraged us to always consider our activities as a way of worshiping God including when we work. As there are mahdhahworships (obliged by the rules of Allah) or ghairu mahdhahworships for all deeds allowed by Allah, such as studying, working, helping others and other good deeds.
滸oing to work should be with intention of worshipping Allah, as it is an activity useful for others as well as a way to earn a living. Merchants should never cheat. There are prayers to say when we get up in the morning, do activities, get into bathroom until we go to bed again, he said.
When everything is intended to worship Allah, we should give our best. Allah said that human is the best of His creations on Earth, so it is relevant for us to give the best for Him.
漈hat檚 why, to achieve success in the afterlife, we must be successful in this current life. How we worship, behave and act are to be the best, said Ustadz Rifhan Halili. (*)
