UNAIR NEWS–Misutarno has idolized Dean of Faculty of Nursing Prof.Nursalam, S.Kp., M.Nurs as an inspiring figure in realizing his ideals.According to him, Prof.Nursalam has motivated him continuously to excel.
“He really inspires me.Being busy did not stop Prof.Nursalam to make achievements.It is my motivation to excel continuously, “said the nurse of RSUD Dr.Soetomo.
As a proof, in 2014, Misutarno was named as the best HIV / AIDS counselor at national level.Therefore, the man born in Sidoarjo was appointedas HIV / AIDS master of trainer.
He also studied about diseases caused by a virus attacking the immune system in his thesis.His thesis entitled “Management of HIV / AIDS Patient Care to Indonesian Workers throughpeergroups supporton Psychological Response to Immunity in Tulungagung District” has made him named as the best master graduate.
This research was inspired by the number of migrant workers who returned to Indonesia with HIV / AIDS.Misutarno tries to help the patient getting out of the stigma of discrimination experienced by the patients.In addition, he also wanted to support government programs such asZeroNewHIV Infection,andZero Death Relatedto HIV / AIDS.
Misutarno said that the role of the family is significant in determining success.“I have a habit to study from 9 to 12 pm and my family understand well.They really understand that, “said the Secretary of Regional Union Council of National Nurse Association in East Java.
He has a principle to always be disciplined in doing something.This discipline that matters most in determining the lives of people in the future.“In addition to discipline, be patient and open in accepting criticism from others,” he concluded.(*)
