UNAIR NEWS – This January could be one of the busiest month for 51 as there have been 18 high school visits recorded. Their visit has many aims; such as to seek information about student admission of UNAIR, to find motivation and knowledge about higher education.
On Thursday, January 26, there were 220 students and 7 teachers of SMAN 1 Padangan Bojonegoro gathered in Kahuripan Hall, Campus C UNAIR. Maryani S.Pd represented the head master said that the campus visit was aimed to engage the students to discover the knowledge about campus life.
I encouraged the student to come to UNAIR so that they know about the campus life, whats in UNAIR and how to apply in UNAIR without test, Mariyani said.
Mariyani also said that the teachers were overwhelmed when the students asked about higher education information because they lack of information about it. They did not want to break the students excitement to study further, so they encouraged the students to come to UNAIR to seek the information.
The students have great motivation to study in higher education although they are in the outskirt, living in the suburbs between East Java and Central Java. They always asked us(the teachers) yet we have limited information about it. Therefore, we encourage them to come here Mariyani added.
In this campus visit, Information and Public Relations Center (PIH) with Student Admission Center (PPMB) UNAIR presented the general information on UNAIR and student admission information. Barry Nurqoba, s.si,. M.Kom, a mathematic lecturer of UNAIR, who also a student admission officer said that becoming college students is not a dream although they come from suburb area.
I am from Lamongan, your neighbor, hope that through this campus visit all of you can be part of UNAIR Barry said to cheer up the students.
