UNAIR NEWS Since his master and doctoral studies in Australia, the accounting expert Prof. Tjiptohadi Sawarjuwono, Drs., M.Ec., Ph.D, CPA. CA, has been interested in Islamic accounting, and the professor of Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) focused on Behavioral Accounting especially Islamic Accounting.
Tjipto has written a lot of works on community檚 behavior related to accounting. Accounting, currently, is not merely about recordings books, but also about the intention to do it is also a part o accounting. Furthermore, the accounting educational process can also be included in the study.
As time goes by, the results of accounting affects people檚 behavior in making policies. He wrote a book, 淎spek Perilaku Manusia dalam Praktik Akuntansi published by UNAIR Printing and Publishing Center in 2012.
In September 2016, Tjipto and his group, established Sharia Accountant Compartment (KAS) in FEB, Universitas Hasannudin, Makassar as all this time, sharia accountants are affiliated in Sharia Accounting Forum and only be a part of Educating Accounting Compartment, Indonesian Accountant Association (IAI). In the future, Sharia accounting has great possibility to be the driving force of Islamic teachings implementation in all aspects f life, especially everything related to accounting.
淚 believe that there will be Sharia accountant who will lead the Islamic teachings implementation in all aspects of life, especially the one related to accounting, said the professor who took his doctoral degree Wollongong University, Australia.
For the last two years, Tjipto has been the supervisor of training for accountants who will train all villages official in East Java.
淚 assist the accountants training (Training of Trainers, ed) who will train village officials. This training is instructed and supported by the Governor of East Java, Soekarwo, through Education and Training Agency of East Java Government, said the lecturer born in Bandung.
Furthermore, he is also trusted by the Regent of Jember to supervise Jember檚 accountants, to help with Jember Regency Administration檚 books as well as develop modern diner network with simple bookings.
At the moment, beside teaches in bachelor, master and doctoral program of FEB, Tjipto also works as Vice Rector I Universitas Internasional Semen Indonesia (UISI) Gresik for 2016-2019. In 2015-2016, he was also an interviewer of LPDP scholarship.
Regarding the tax amnesty program, Tjipto agrees and supports it because everyone must obey the government as in Islam considered asulil amri.
淚 have a dream to encourage the people to always walk in the path of goodness. It檚 my dream to encourage them implementing Islamic sharia in all aspects of life. Therefore, do not separate the religion with our daily life, he said. (*)
