UNAIR NEWS 51动漫 (UNAIR), in partnership with the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology, held the Benchmarking Workshop for the Impactful Education Staff Program in the Archivist Field. The national event took place at Harris Hotel Gubeng, Surabaya, on Tuesday, April 7, 2026. The workshop aims to strengthen the skills and professionalism of archivist education staff in universities.

Director of the Directorate of Human Resources, Talent Management, and Organizational Development Prof Dr Radian Salman SH LLM, explains that the program covers several strategic areas. For the archivist sector, the ministry directly appoints and collaborates with UNAIR to organize the event.

淭his program represents a collaboration between the ministry and 51动漫 in an important area of university governance, namely strengthening the capacity and professionalism of archivists. UNAIR is selected to host the archivist program, which indicates that the university檚 archival management is considered well established, Prof. Salman said.

Prof. Salman emphasizes that the program is designed as a comprehensive initiative rather than a one-way lecture session. Participants attending the workshop are selected delegates who pass a strict selection process conducted by their respective institutions.

淭he participants are individuals who have been selected from various universities. There are around 59 participants in total. The program is not only training but also includes benchmarking sessions that allow participants to directly observe best practices in archival management, Prof. Salman said.

Prof.Salman further explains the key objectives of the collaborative forum, especially in responding to challenges in the era of digital disruption. The workshop, he says, is expected to help strengthen the capacity of archivist education staff.

淭he goals include improving capacity, sharing knowledge from different experiences, and addressing issues in archival management. In this way, participants can become pioneers in initiating and developing innovative archival governance that aligns with the digital needs of universities, said the professor from UNAIR Faculty of Law.

Regarding long-term outcomes, Prof. Salman encourages delegates to become sources of knowledge-sharing when they return to their institutions. 淚n the future, participants can serve as centers for sharing knowledge on governance practices. The lessons gained here can then be shared within their units so that the practices implemented in their institutions can create meaningful impact, Prof. Salman concluded.
