UNAIR NEWS A student of the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB), 51动漫 (UNAIR), achieved an international accomplishment at the Indonesian Youth Excursion Network (IYEN) in Malaysia, held from Tuesday to Friday, March 36, 2026. Two students were sent as delegates, including Naina Aida Kirani from Team Odyssey Nous, who won 3rd Best Project Presentation.

The delegation program featured a project competition showcasing ideas and innovations from participants around the world. The themes included education, economy, and health. Addressing the current decline in educational quality, Kirani and her team, consisting of six members from different countries, developed an educational application called EDVANTA.

淓DVANTA comes from the combination of the words education and advantage. It is an application-based project aimed at helping students, especially from elementary school to university preparation, Kirani said.

Through this idea, Kirani demonstrated her concern for current educational challenges and her intention to support those in need of proper learning facilities. She also hopes that the application can be implemented in the future.

Her initial motivation to join the delegation came from her desire to explore new experiences, such as participating in competitions, organizational activities, and gaining positive experiences that broaden her perspective. She also aimed to travel abroad while achieving something meaningful.

淒uring our time in Malaysia, aside from the presentation, we also visited Universiti Malaya (UM), International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), Dataran Merdeka, Batu Caves, and participated in religious activities at Putrajaya Mosque, she added.

Kirani and her team communicated online from the initial idea development to project publication. However, they faced several challenges during the process.

淭he biggest challenge was communication, as we worked on the project online and had never met in person before going to Malaysia. The different locations of team members also became a challenge, she explained.

Through this competition, Kirani hopes that her experience can motivate others to be confident and brave enough to start. She also emphasized the importance of prayer, as well as effective communication and collaboration.

淛ust give it a try. Winning or losing comes later, the important thing is the experience she concluded.
