UNAIR NEWS Faculty of Nursing (FKp) 51动漫 is celebrating its 18th anniversary. This time , the celebration is started with an exercise and a ceremony on Friday morning, March 24. The festivity will be held on April 2017 themed Strengthen Nursing Profession to Achieve Professionalism in the Global Era.
Interviewed after the opening, Dean of Faculty of Nursing (FKp) Prof. Dr. Nursalam, M.Nurs (Hons)., said that the grand theme was shared expectation to strengthen nursing profession in global competition.
淲e are in the middle of fierce competition. Let檚 face it by improving nursing professionalism, he stated.
To improve nursing professionalism, the first professor in the field of nursing said that there are elements in the work environment which should be managed and improved, from the quality of institution, human resources and the quality of students.
淎bout the institution, 补濒丑补尘诲耻濒颈濒濒补丑听we are accredited A. 50% of the lecturers are expected to be doctors in 2020. I want the students to have a lot of achievements, so we can produce quality output, he explained. 淥ne more important thing, in nursing competence exam, I want 100% of them passed, all this time was only 98%, he added.
Asked about the nearest effort made, Prof. Nursalam explained that his unit is preparing doctoral studies and surgery medical specialist. Furthermore, he will push all lecturers to conduct researches which can be published in various journals.
淎t least in 2018, the doctoral program will be established. We want to open surgery medical nursing specialist. It is really needed, he said.
The Head of Dies Natalis Iqlima Dwi Kurnia, S.Kep.Ns., M.Kep., said that in globalization era, the demand to nurses are great. She believed that nurses must have sensitivity on things needed by the society.
淚t is aimed so that we can give best nursing care, she explained.
Asked about the relation of contests like futsal, cooking and debate, Iqlima answered that it was only a way to strengthen ties with other nurses in East Java.
淒uring closing, we will invite winners to come and donate their blood. And I hope FKp UNAIR can be better, more advanced and glorious to motivate other institution, she stated. (*)
