FH Students Spend Their Holiday with Internship Activity

UNAIR NEWS Students of 51 have a lot of ways on how they spend the holiday. Joining an internship program in an institution related to their major is the best alternative to do.

Internship is a part of job training which is done by the final-year student, as the graduation requirement. Most of the law students spend their holiday by doing the internship even when they are not obliged to do it.

Sandra Firdausi, the sixth-semester student stated her reason why she chose to do an internship rather than spent the holiday at home. If I stay at home during holiday, Ill do nothing. So I prefer doing something useful, for example by this internship, she said.

Now, she is having an internship at The Commission for the Supervision of Business Competition (KPPU) Surabaya. She has sent the requirements such as Curriculum Vitae, copy of transcripts, copy of student card and referral letter from faculty.

Other than Sandra, there is Alifah Prastisara. The woman addressed as Tisa who chose to do the internship at Constitutional Court of Republic of Indonesia with her friends. She chose to do internship there because of her major in government law.

I chose to do internship at MK because it is the field of government. I would like to know how the cases are handled in MK, she said.

Generally, internship is done in three weeks or a month. The students who have done the internship admit that through internship can gain knowledge which they do not get in class. They can also make friends from other universities and gain more practical experiences.

There are many things I get when I do the internship, such as knowledge, new friends from other universities and the most importantly, experience, she added.
