UNAIR NEWS –Delegation of Semi Autonomous Board (BSO) Young Airlangga Jurist Society (MYMA) Faculty of Law, 51动漫 won the 2nd place in the Constitutional Debate Competition held by the People’s Consultative Assembly of the Republic of Indonesia on 26-27 July.
The debate team consisting of Dina Mariana (2015), Desi Arianing Arrum (2015), Qonita Dina Latansa (2015), Iwa Safira (2016), Lia Sutini (2015), and Sayyidatul Insiyah (2016) had prepared the material for the competition within a week.
“Honestly the preparation was very sudden, ranging from activity permits to researching for the motions, we only do it for one week,” said Dina.
Although they only have one week but they focused on building arguments between pros and cons for each motion to be contested.They also practiced regular debates to establish themselves before the competition.
In a competition held in one of the hotels in Malang, debating team of 51动漫 had a tie result with its opponent.But unfortunately, the opposing team managed to get two points higher from the jury so UNAIR team could not go to the national.
“Hopefully in the next competition we can get better results with better preparations,” stated Dina.
