UNAIR NEWS – Three students of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) Airlangga University won second place of national debate competition held by BEM KM Sriwijaya University, Palembang.They were Yulia Istitania (Communication Science / 2015), Rico Pahlawan (Political Science / 2014), and Manik Madyni (Communication Science / 2015).
The three students are members of the FISIP Debate Community or commonly called KDF.All three are encouraged to be good students in talking about the current issues in society.In addition, in the debate, they are required to be able to conduct case studies, analysis, and how to behave as a side of affirmation or opposition.
The debate competition entitled “Revitalizing Diversity Values” presents 16 delegates from various universities in Indonesia.The 16 best finalists were selected after a selection of 98 participants.
The debate competition was followed by 18 universities in Indonesia.They are University of Andalas;Sriwijaya University, Palembang;Universitas Gadjah Mada, Yogyakarta;Riau University;Yogyakarta State University;University of Bengkulu;Mulawarman University;University of Tanjungpura;State University of Jambi; Education University of Indonesia;University of Jember;Bogor Agricultural Institute;Semarang State University;President University;Sebelas Maret University Surakarta;Syiah Kuala University;and 51动漫.
Previously, KDF got the achievement as the second place of National debate competition at Andalas University, Padang;Third place of National Debate UIN Suska Riau;Second and Third place of East Java debate by Universitas Internasional Semen Indonesia;as well as First Place at Gadjah Mada Competition.
