UNAIR NEWS– Floods and landslides in Pacitan have stolen the attention of Indonesians, including among students. As a form of concern for the victims, students of Faculty of Nursing (FKp) raised funds and provided relief aid such as money donation, groceries, clothing, until blankets.

The action titled GPP or Pacitan Relief Movement involved student organization (ormawa) FKp UNAIR such as Student Executive Board (BEM), Student Legislative Council (BLM), Green Nursing Corps (GENCorps), and Islamic Spiritual Ners (Skiners).

GPP is a voluntary fundraising in each class, including receiving open donations, either money transfer or material donations such as clothes, blankets, and groceries.

The fundraising was conducted from 30 November to 6 December, 2017. Assistance is collected from FKp academic communitywill be distributed directly to the citizens of Pacitan through GENCorps.

FKp students™ movement was supported by the FKP lecturers so it is distributed directly to Pacitan residents.Meanwhile, the idea of ‹‹GPP’s movement arose because FKP students wanted to show their concern to the people of Pacitan.

“The GPP ˜s movement was aimed to cultivate a sense of humanity in FKp student environment.Hopefully, this movement will be the first step to serve the people of Indonesia.Time should not limit people to serve.Although now FKp is busy with the final exam (UAS), we still want to show a student’s concern for the community, “explained Ferly, one of FKp students.

Ferly revealed, the collected aid will be distributed directly to Pacitan on Friday, December 8 at 20.00.He hoped that such movement will be held in the future so that the students’ awareness to the community can be instilled.Because, the high morale of students as youth will be in vain if they do not have a high sensitivity to the surrounding environment.(*)
