UNAIR NEWS – Student Executive Body (BEM) of Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) a once again held Economy Week (E-week), a series of activities at the end of their stewardship with Student Organization (Ormawa) in FEB.One of the activities isSocial Action.
This year,Social Actionfocuses on creating public awareness that Kenjeran Beach and the life of its fishermen has a million potentials.This time, the activity was held in Sukolilo Baru Village, Bulak Subdistrict, Surabaya.
“The potential will be boosted if the community of Sukolilo Village is empowered and developed,” said Nadya Pramesti, one of theSocial Action听肠辞尘尘颈迟迟别别蝉.
The Coastal School activities which took place on Saturday, September 23 was done by teaching children to read fairy tale books as media at SD Muhammadiyah 9 Kenjeran.
“The activity was done there considering the lack of teachers providing education for elementary school檚 children.So theSocial Actioncan provide education and be a place for students to share, “added Nadya.
Enthusiasm was not only from the committee, but from the children in Sukolilo Baru Village.Crowded and vigorous atmosphere filled the Hall on the 2nd floor. Some student were teaching the names of animals, dancing, and divided them into groups based on grade levels.The students taught some subjects such as natural science.
In the future, activities are not just about teaching every two weeks, but there will be empowerment activities for housewives.
Social Actionthis time was closed by cleaning Kenjeran Beach.Remember, Kenjeran Beach is now a tourist destination.
“With this, hopefully our social awareness as students will be improved. To be more sensitive that around us there are still many children who do not yet know the importance of education.Most of the reasons are financial reason and supporting parents.But we must be more sensitive to the reality, “said Nadya.(*)
