UNAIR NEWS “Bursa Eksakta (BETA) has successfully implemented BETA VISIT 2018. BETA is one of the Semi Autonomous Bodies (BSO) of Faculty of Science and Technology (FST) engaged in entrepreneurship. It facilitates students who have business or business learning.BETA VISIT takes place in mid-July, on Wednesday-Thursday, July 11-12.
BETA VISIT is an activity of getting around industrial and university places.The activity is aimed to add insights about professional world, to learn and establish cooperation with organizations at other universities.
This year BETA VISIT visited several industries such as PT.Yakult, Indofood Cbk., and PT.Indiratex Spindo.Meanwhile, for the university, BETA chose to visit Universitas Brawijaya.They were visited for some considerations.
Yakult and Indofood Cbk. were chosen so students know the production process of food and beverages and PT. Indiratex Spindo was visited to see thread making. Universitas Brawijaya was chosen because the distance is not far, and because it has a good systematic organization.
“Not only that, there is very high entrepreneurship in every member of UKM.It was seen from the numerous members who had started their own businesses and because of its short distance.Therefore, after Beta Visit 2018 the two organizations can collaborate in certain events, “said Orchid Meidy Nurintan S., head of BETA VISIT 2018 from the Chemistry department.
Orchid explained, there were not many problems during the trip to all destinations. Anticipation was made from the beginning.For example, leaving early so as not to get stuck in traffic.
“There were times when there were obstacles when UNAIR’s group went to Brawijaya University.However, thankfully earlier departure can overcome it, “she said.
Even so, the destination is her favorite.Because, each of the visit share business knowledge to students who are still starting business.
BETA VISIT 2018 is expected to increase business knowledge and update current issues for student business including the scope of the industrial scale about the safety of products and processes there.In addition to filling holiday with positive activities.
Orchid also stated that in the future there are still several activities carried out by BETA.For example, makingbusiness plans, bazaars, and LMT (Leadership Managerial Training).(*)
