UNAIR NEWS– As a student, learning is an obligation, even for Information System three year diploma students.Diploma program students are obliged to master more practical skill than the theoretical skill.
This encourages students and members of the HIMASI (Information System D3 Student Association) to gain information and experience in professional world.There were 44 students from Class 2016 and 2017 visiting several industries of major companies based on technology and information in Indonesia.
“Industrial visit activities should done so the D3 students of Information Systems can find out more details about professional world. It can grow the working atmosphere for the future.And, the most important thing is the students can get knowledge to enter professional world later, “said Rafqi Agatha as deputy of HIMASI .
The visits were made on Monday-Thursday, July 23-26 to thelargestgame companyin Indonesia, PT.Gameloft Indonesia, at Jalan HOS Cokroaminoto 73, Pakuncen, Wirobrajan, Yogyakarta City.
In the visit, D3 students of information system learn how to makenewgameand test the game before circulated in market. They also visited softwarecompanyin Yogyakarta Special Region, at PT Integra Innovation Indonesia.
The company is a consultant and developer in the field of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) that has products and services in the field of Government (e-government solution), for college and school (academic solution) and business industry (business solution).
“From the whole industry we visited, the conditions were very good.With the atmosphere, the industry was very supportive to students so they can feel the influence of this industrial visit, “said the student from Malang.
“Hopefully, after this activity, students have better understanding on the atmosphere and the skills needed to be able to be in the professional world later.I hope the participants can make preparation to their expected field of work and start to learn the skills needed, ” he added.(*)
