UNAIR NEWS The 15th National Student Musabaqah Tilawatil Quran (MTQMN) held in Universitas Brawijaya and Univeritas Negeri Malang, was opened in a lively manner. The opening of the event in the front yard of UB on Friday, July 28, was attended by Minister of Research, Technology and Higher Education Prof. M. Nasir, M.Si, Ak, Ph.D, CA.
In his address to thousands of participants, Nasir said that MTQMN is not only a competition but also a moment to strengthen ties and unite the nation.
淲e hope this event could be not only a competition and moment to strengthen ties but also a moment to unite the nation, he stated.
Nasir also added that in MTQMN, the students are expected not only to read and memorize Quran, but also to implement the values in the Quran.
淚t檚 a part of the mental revolution to improve our piety to Allah SWT. I hope that what we read, learn from the AlQuran can be implemented in life, he stated.
To represent the host, Rector UB Prof. Dr. Ir. Mohammad Bisri, MS., said that this MTQMN is the biggest in history. There were 2447 representatives from 252 universities in the event held until August 4.
淭his MTQMN is the biggest in the 15 years of the organization, he said.
Before the opening, there were some performances of traditional dances and Opick. The next morning, there was a parade from Graha Cakrawala Universitas Negeri Malang to UB Management Office. 51动漫 has sent 26 representatives for 12 competitions.
