UNAIR NEWS “ Head of Retiree Association (PKPB), Dra.Kusmawati has confirmed that PKPB assigned its representatives to send humanitarian aid to victims of flood and landslide disaster in Pacitan regency, on Wednesday, December 20.
“Alhamdulillah it is our social service for the second time.But do not only see it from the quantity, but this is our sincere concern to ease the burden of our fellow humans affected by the disaster in Pacitan, “said Mrs. Wati, to NEWS, Monday, December 27 afternoon.

As we all know, PKPB UNAIR also previously eased the burden of landslide disaster victims in Banaran Village, Pulung District, Ponorogo Regency, which was given on Friday, April 28, 2016.
While the five representatives of PKPB UNAIR who gave the aid directly to Pemkab Pacitan this time were Nonok Beno M, R. Supriyanto, Suwardi, Suharto, under the coordinator Bambang Dwi Tunggal, SH.
Described by Dra.Kusmawati, the collected fund, Rp 11,450,000, – was partly delivered in the form of goods in accordance with the needs of the victims, such as several blankets, towels, underwear, soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste, tampons, and boxes containing prayer rugs, mukena, and used clothes.They also sent a box containing the Qur’an.

“Our aid in cash was Rp 8,500,000.We entrusted the aid to the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of Pacitan Regency, “he added.
PKPB UNAIR hoped that the amount of aid collected from its members can help to ease the burden caused by natural disasters.As we all know, the disaster in Pacitan early December 2017 has killed at least 21 people and dozens of homes and public facilities were severely damaged.The embankment of the Grindulu River, the largest river in Pacitan, also collapsed and the flood washed away a lot of houses.(*)
