UNAIR NEWS – As a form of appreciation and motivation in all forms of Student Affairs activities within the Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education (Kemenristekdikti), Kemenristekdikti through its General Directorate of Learning and Student Affairs (Belmawa) held “Annual Student Affairs Awards 2017”, at Hotel Atlet Century , Jakarta, Wednesday, December 6.The goal is to motivate and encourage work achievements in students’ reasoning, creativity, interest, talents, and mental spirituality.
Among the many recipients of Kemenristekdikti award in 2017, got two awards from two categories.First, the Career and Entrepreneurship Development Center (PPKK) UNAIR was selected as the Best Career Center, along with Universitas Indonesia (UI).In addition, the student affairs activist Dr.Suko Hardjono, Drs., Apt., got Lifetime AchievementAward on Student Affairs.
Lecturer of the Faculty of Pharmacy of 51动漫 has received a similar award with his colleague, Dr. Ir.Rudolf Woodrow Matindas from UI.Suko Hardjono has recorded his work in the field of student affairs in the book淪uko Hardjono, Mengawal Airlangga Tanpa Hentipublished in 2013.
Menristekdikti Prof.Mohamad Nasir in his speech said that improving the quality of students is not only through academic activities or learning in the classroom, but also through other activities such as the development ofsoft skills.
“This is what makes the student activities have a strategic position in the development of human resources of Indonesia in the future.Good intellectual should be supported by goodsoft skills.We must always provide students, to face the millennial era, ” stated Prof.Moh Nasir.
On the same occasion, the General Director of Belmawa Prof.Intan Ahmad also explained how important the activities of student affairs are in facing problematic in the 21st century.So, forming the ability to master the science and humanities of students should be always encouraged.
“We do have innovation, science and technology, but without being accompanied by good student activities, we are not ready to win the competition in this millennial era.Students must continue to be trained and collaborate through existing student activities, “said General Director Prof. Intan.
In this event, there were 189 participants consisting of the Head of State Universities (PTN) for Student Affairs, Private Higher Education (PTS) for Student Affairs, Award Recipients and Executive Secretary Kopertis I to XIV throughout Indonesia.
In the press release delivered by Ardian Syaputra, from the Bureau of Cooperation and the Publik Communication and the Information Service of General Directorate of Belmawa, the details of the winners were also presented.

Category of Implementing Student Activities(there are eleven activities): Indonesian Robot Contest (KRI / Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia), MTQ National Students (Unibraw and UM Malang), PIMNAS (Universitas Muslim Indonesia, Makassar), POMNAS (Hasanuddin University), Sukan Malaysia Indonesia SUKMALINDO) (State University of Semarang), EXPO Entrepreneurship Indonesia (Pontianak State Polytechnic), National University Debate Championship (PGRI Semarang University), Energy Efficient Car Contest (ITS Surabaya), Indonesian Fly Robot Contest (KRTI / ITS), TIK National Student Show (GEMASTIK / UI), KKN Nationalism (State University of Gorontalo).
Winners of International Achievement Category:General Winner of Trinity College Fire Fighting Home Robot Contest (TCFFHRC), Surabaya State Electronics Polytechnic, University of Muhammadiyah Malang, First Prize Winner at IMC Event, Pelita Harapan University, Universiade Medalist, Universitas Bhayangkara Jakarta Raya, State University Semarang, and State University of Medan.
