UNAIR NEWS –Eleven State Universities as Legal Entity (PTNBH) in Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education are required to compete with world-class universities.This is what always affirmed by the Minister of Research, Technology and Higher Education M. Nasir while attending the 11th Meeting of PTNBH at Sepuluh November Technology Institute on Wednesday, April 4.
In presence of the Board of Trustees (MWA), Academic Senate (SA), and Rectors of eleven PTNBH, Nasir also hoped that the PTN with given autonomy to set various policies independently will be able to advance and improve competitiveness .
“The PTNBH autonomy is expected to be a trigger to support national development in the face of global competition,” he explained.
Not only that, Nasir also emphasized that the changes and dynamics in the world of higher education must be addressed wisely and positively.In this regard, Nasir gave a statement about the plan of foreign campuses entering Indonesia.For him, it must be addressed well and wisely together.
“With this I hope the PTNBH are able to respond wisely.In addition, I invite all to contribute and improve research and innovation in order to compete with the excellent universities in the world, “he explained.
Then, Nasir also revealed various achievements of universities in Indonesia which have achieved Top 500 world campus.There are some universities being pushed to reach Top 500 major world campus.
“Through this autonomy, we hope the acceleration of universities in Indonesia to enter Top 500 world universities can be realized,” said Nasir.
Meanwhile, Rector of , Prof.Moh.Nasih as the moderator in the discussion on empowering the state apparatus.In that occasion, Prof.Nasih said that the national development capitals are from the creativity and innovation.
“Therefore, in managing and developing human resources, there is a specific way of development,” he said.
In the event held at 11th Floor Auditorium, ITS Research Center Building, there was also an MoU for collaboration in Tridharma among Rectors of PTNBH and Professor Forum Declaration.(*)
