UNAIR NEWS Schools do various things to motivate their students so that they can be accepted in state universities (PTN). Bunga Bangsa Islamic High School, Samarinda, visited UNAIR. The aim of the visit was for the students to be motivated to study outside Kalimantan. In addition, they wanted to introduce campus life to their students, as well as know first-hand the registration and admission process.
Darmawansah, S.Pd., SMA Islam Bunga Bangsa Samarinda Public Relation stated that the main problem for a student to study in Java was their parents permit. SMA Islam Bunga Bangsa indeed just passed one generation in 2016. Most of them chose Kalimantan as the place to continue their higher study.
漃arents prefer their kids stayin Kalimantan. Through this program, our students know better that the best choice is universities in Java. After this visit, they can ensure their parents to let them study here, he said.
Darmawansyah hoped that next year some of her students continued their study at UNAIR. For him, without underestimating education in Kalimantan, by continuing education in Java students would excel better.

Other than SMA Islam Bunga Bangsa, last Tuesday there was another visit from SMAN 2 Krakatau Steel students, Cilegon. With this visit, he hoped the students will be more motivated to continue their study at UNAIR. Especially with the program UNAIR Education Outside Domicile (PDD) Banyuwangi, he hoped it became an alternative for his students who wanted to study at UNAIR.
