UNAIR NEWS– Starting from an awareness and joint initiative to share, Epidemiology Transfer Students of Faculty of Public Health (FKM) 51动漫 held a social service at Werdha Hargodedali Elderly Home, Surabaya, Sunday, November 26.For the event the other students with different majors in FKM UNAIR were also invited.
“This social service was organized from the awareness and voluntary to share the love to others,” said Abdurrakhman of the committee.
In the social service, there were some activities, such as examination of blood pressure, blood sugar, and cholesterol;elderly gymnastics;sing along of memorable songs;as well as the aid distribution.The social service was attended by 8 members of the committee from epidemiology, 12volunteers, 45 elderly, and a lecturer.
Abdurrakhman added that the activity was a fun activity to share, not just for students, but also the elderly.Because the elderly can share all their stories and complaints during their stay in the elderly homes.
“They share their life experiences and give us advice and motivation to become a useful human for the people, ” he said.
Meanwhile, Head of the Committee I Gusti Agung Putu Mahendrayasa hoped similar events will often be conducted by students, especially UNAIR.So the students can apply their knowledge they gain during college.
“Hopefully events like this will be improved again.To apply the science directly obtained in college in the community, ” he said.Also, Agung hoped that the other students will concern more with the environment.(*)
