UNAIR NEWS “ Being awarded as outstanding student at faculty in 2014 and 2016, as well as 2nd Place of UNAIR Outstanding Student in 2014, Shobrina Silmi Qori Tartila has proven that achievements can be achieved during studies.In fact, she finally graduated as the best graduate of Faculty of Fisheries and Marine (FPK) UNAIR in December 2017 graduation. Shobrina achieved 3.96 GPA.
Silmi has also successfully obtained a grant funding of Student Creativity Program (PKM) in three categories. In 2014 on PKM Exacta Research (PKM-PE), and in 2016 two PKM Invention (PKM-KC).
“My intention was to fulfill the course assignment, but my friends insisted to submit it as paper, so I did send it and it went through, “said the daughter of Suman Hadi and Ririn Dyah Martarini.
When participating in State University Entrance Selection (SNMPTN), Silmi was attracted to enter Faculty of Medicine and she chose a study in FPK as the second option.Why choose FPK?“The reason is because I love the sea and there will be practicum on the sea,” she said.
She was challenged to study in the field of fisheries and marine, although her father did not agree with her choice.However, it motivates her to prove her point to his father.
“Through the course and practice I have taken during my study, I tell him all about the potential of the fishery world.Alhamdulillah, the fatherunderstood and very supportive to my master™s degree study, “said the woman born in Kediri April 5, 1995.
In addition to her diverse activities on campus, Silmi also teaches chemistry and English at LBB (Tutoring Institute) and gives private lessons.She was also often asked to speak in discussion forums and speak in other universities™ activities.
“How many people have you beaten to feel to be able to study at college like today?Be grateful, enjoy, and do your best, ” Silmi said.(*)
