UNAIR NEWS – Since 2003, Dr. R Herlambang has been a lecture in Department of Constitutional Law, Faculty of Law, 51动漫. He used to be an as assistant lecturer and taught Civil Law, Commercial Law and Business Law at Faculty of Economic and Business 51动漫 from 2001 to 2002.
淏efore I teach at Faculty of Law, I used to teach Civil Law, Commercial Law and Business Law at Faculty economic and Business from 2001 to 2002. I felt like I was not fit in said the man who used to work for 10 years in Legal Aid Institute Surabaya.
He completed her bachelor degree in 1998 in Faculty of Law UNAIR. In 2006, he earned a LLM in Human Rights and Social Development from Mahidol University, Thailand. After graduating his master degree, he went on to graduate from Leiden University, Netherland with a Ph.D in law.
He dreamed to be a lecturer since he was in high school. He is inspired from his teacher and grandfather. 淚 had PPKN (Pancasila and citizenship)teacher whom often told to us about humanities, pluralism, tolerance and more. I thought it was interesting and inspiring. I had never thought to be teacher or lecturer. And my grandfather let his house used for educational places such as sewing and farming practice Herlambang said.
He has made a lot of researches. At least 74 his research has been published into journals and books. His latest published journal is Mempertimbangkan kembali orientasi gerakan bantuan hukum di Indonesia (Reconsidering orientation of legal aid movement in Indonesia which is published in journal of Veritas et Justitia, Vol. 2, No. 2 (2016),Faculty of Law, Parahyangan university
He also has written about 淟egal Pluralism in The Context of Social Movement , which is a translation edition of Simarmata in 2013 in a book entitled 淧luralisme Hukum: Sebuah Pendekatan Interdisiplin Legal Pluralism: An Interdisciplinary Approach, in 2016.
Besides his works as a lecture, Herlambang still attends many academic associations such as Southeast Asian Human Rights Studies Network(SEAHRN) as a founder. The others are as a chief of Human Rights lecturer union Indonesia (SEPAHAM), Indonesian Legal Philosophy Association (AFHI) from 2013 to 2014, and the study center of human rights (HRLS) Faculty of Law UNAIR.
From 2015 to 2017, Herlambang obtained research grants from SHAPE Research and many more achievementshe had been achieved.
He is known as humble, even he has many achievements. He still comes to the aid of oppressed and never labeled as an activist for himself.
