Airlangga Disease Prevention and Research Center (ADPRC) believes that this challenge should be answered because global performance is the future demand.
ADPRC was ready for it, even since its first establishment on Tuesday, September 19, Prof. Dr. Fedik Abdul Rantam and friends have started conducting the program. In the same day of the inauguration, two researchers from the USA held a general lecture in Faculty of Veterinary Medicine (FKH).
淲e also had an intensive discussion with them regarding our plans, said the coordinator of ADPRC Prof. Dr. Fedik Abdul Rantam.
Another researcher from West Australia also visited UNAIR to discuss ADPRC programs. Actually, not only academics from UNAIR who expect more insights, they also need to gain knowledge from the ADPRC researchers for the future researches.
One of the researches conducted by ADPRC was about food chain, including the application of biosecurity and biosafety. It means that the food for human consumption should be guaranteed. It must be safe and it must not endanger lives.
For example, chicken meat from the slaughterhouse must be hygienic and healthy from the farms. In the distribution, the quality must be maintained same with when it is consumed.
淲e conduct a research which in the end will give a recommendation on how to maintain the food chain, stated Prof. Fedik.
The quality of food affects the life quality and in the end, it is related to the next generation biosecurity. (*)
