UNAIR NEWS In order to introduce the education institution she runs, the founder and patron of Krida Nusantara Senior High School Tuti Sutiawati Try Sutrisno, accompanied by the principal, paid a visit to 51动漫, Wednesday (22/2). Their visit was welcomed by the Rector of UNAIR Prof. Dr. M. Nasih, S.E., M.T., Ak.
Tuti explained that the school which she founded together with a school best friend has the quality of excellence, among others is dormitory system.
淥ur students are obliged to live in a dorm, even for the first three months they can檛 see their parents. So this is the beginning of an independence-training, she explained.
Furthermore, this mother of seven also explained that SMA Krida Nusantara is a miniature of Indonesia. Students of the school which is located in Bandung are from Sabang to Merauke.
淪o the term nusantara reflects our institution which accommodates children from across the country, she added.
In line with the philosophy, Nasih said that UNAIR has been doing the same thing. A lot of school students from different regions in Indonesia are given the opportunity to study at UNAIR.
淲e also take the step, so we try to accommodate school students from different regions, of course with a condition that we have adjusted first, Nasih explained.
The Principal of SMA Krida Nusantara, Drs.H. Encang Iskandar, M.Pd., who was also present in the event added that the regional background diversity of his students will add some colors into the variety at UNAIR.
淲e hope our students will be able to study here. Our diversity will complete the variety of regions where UNAIR are from, he explained.
In the end of the discussion, Encang affirmed that SMA Krida Nusantara also emphasizes on the character-based education. That is, using a dorm system as one way to build their students character.
淭his senior high school also excels at character building. We arrange their schedule from the moment they go to bed until the next bed time. For Muslim students, they are used to pray tahajjud and in jamaah. We hope if they get accepted at UNAIR, they will be able to develop that character here, he concluded.
