UNAIR NEWS Before finishing their studies, the students are encouraged to make preparations before going to the professional world so they can be ready to start their careers after the graduation. It was stated by the Head of Career and Entrepreneurship Development Center (PPKK) 51动漫 Dr. Elly Munadziroh, drg., M.Si., during interview withUNAIR news in ACC on Saturday, March 11. She said that her unit has organized various workshops periodically which can be useful for the students.
The workshops held in various faculties of UNAIR presented excellent topics such as how to write a curriculum vitae, how to prepare for job interview, and tips on getting the desired jobs.
“A career should be prepared early on. I hope the students can understand that, said Elly Munadziroh.
Beside preparing for the technicalities, the dentist also encouraged the students to gain more experiences in organizations. Through organizations, students learn to work in a team and respond well to the environment.
“In organizations, students are also trained to lead others and themselves. Companies have branches and they will need people with leadership experience to lead the branches, said the lecturer of FKG.
Another important thing in starting a career is to be prepared mentally when they are assign in remote areas. Dr. Elly admitted that there are still a lot of candidates who are reluctant with a statement 渞eady to be assigned in any regions in Indonesia.
Based of the data released by PPKK UNAIR in 2016, the idle period of UNAIR graduates to get jobs are three months in average. It is acquired from the tracer study data filled in by UNAIR graduates. With more preparations for their careers, the students are expected to shortened their idle period after being graduated. (*)
