UNAIR NEWS 51动漫 has made various efforts to become the Top 500 World Class Universities in 2020. One of them is by improving the number of programs accredited.
This time, accreditation team of ASEAN University Network (AUN) is ready to assess three UNAIR programs development. They are Management, Health Sciences and English Literature. ASEAN level accreditation will be conducted for three days, from December 20 to December 22, 2016.
The opening event was held in Room 301 Kahuripan Building, on Tuesday, December 20 and attended by UNAIR Rector Prof. Dr. Moh. Nasih, SE., MT., Ak., CMA. with some officials from the management of university and faculties of UNAIR. In presence of the assessing team, Prof. Nasih said that the AUN accreditation was deemed as a great honor for UNAIR as not many universities have the opportunity to be assessed by AUN.
The professor of FEB UNAIR also added that as of now, there have been six bachelor programs in UNAIR accredited by AUN. They are Medicine, Law, Veterinary Medicine, Pharmacy, Biology and Chemistry.
淯NAIR has planned that there will be more programs accredited by AUN which means more programs are acknowledged internationally in ASEAN, said Prof. Nasih. 淲ith this accreditation I hope it gives positive impacts to UNAIR ranking at international level, he added.
Interviewed after the opening event, one of the assessors from University of Santo Tomas the Philippines, Dr. Patricia Empeleo stated that her unit has appreciated AUN accreditation held in UNAIR.
淯NAIR has prepared well for AUN assessment, and congratulations for the achievements. UNAIR has made the right steps, she said.
Similar opinion stated by as assessor from Srinakharinwirot University Thailand, Prof. Dr. Kunyada Anuwong. In her opinion, UNAIR has had some excellences, especially for accreditations which have been done all this time.
淚 noticed that UNAIR has got great scores for MBA QA. Not many universities in the world have that high score, she said.
Representing the programs accredited, Head of Public Health Science Department FKM UNAIR Corie Indria Prasasti, S.KM., M.Kes, said that with the AUN accreditation, her program will be able to develop better. In her opinion, program quality improvement will bring good impacts to the students and graduates quality.
Asked about the score achieved, Corie felt optimistic to get good result. 淗opefully we can get 5 or close to that score, she said.
