UNAIR NEWS –The 31st National Student Science Week (PIMNAS) held at Yogyakarta State University (UNY) was officially opened on Thursday August 30.The Minister of Research, Technology and Higher Education (Menristek Dikti) M. Nasir was also attending.
Being held at UNY Sports Hall (GOR), Menristek Dikti in presence of 136 contingents from various universities in Indonesia, said that creativity and innovation produced by students throughout Indonesia through the Student Creativity Program (PKM) must be able to continue until the downstream phase.
“We will push them so that the output of creativity and innovation of all students can reach the downstream phase,” he said.
For Nasir, the downstream process is used to optimize results and outcomes so that they can be used for mutual benefit.Furthermore, M. Nasir also emphasized the importance to provide benefits for the interests of the nation. All students are expected to be able to continue to compete in creativity and innovation.
“Therefore, in the future we will arrange student exchange programs abroad for students who have the best creativity in this PIMNAS,” he explained.“The goal is none other so that you know the creativity and innovation of students abroad,” he added.
Meanwhile, as the host, UNY Rector Prof.Dr.Sutrisna Wibawa, M.Pd.also gave an explanation about the implementation of the annual grand agenda.In his presentation, Prof.Sutrisna said that with the theme ” Superior, Creative, and Innovative Students in the Frame of Diversity” have deeper meaning.
“The theme, contains meaning, a noble value and a spirit that must be possessed by Indonesian students in the millennial era,” he explained.
As an effort to implement the meaning in the theme carried by the host, the presentation of the opening of 31st PIMNAS was in nuances of diversity.
From the observation ofUNAIR NEWSat the opening location, the nuances of diversity were shown from the contingent parade with their respective traditional clothing.The contingent of 51动漫 also wore traditional attire of Surabaya City.In addition, diversity is also seen in the choir team from UNY by singing regional songs representing various regions in Indonesia.
