UNAIR NEWS Vice-chancellor La Trobe University along with four other delegation visited 51动漫 (UNAIR) to discuss about another collaborative work, Wednesday (30/8). Both of university has already established partnership since the MoU signing with faculty of Nursing.
淭here are similarity between faculties in UNAIR with La Trobe university. It possible to build the partnership, John Dewar said, the Vice Chancellor of La Trobe University during his presentation
Prof. Ir. Moch. Amin Alamsjah M.Si., Ph.D as vice Rector III of UNAIR pleased to continue the partnership. According to him, the possible program to collaborate with was health Science and natural Science.
淭hey have Agricultural Sciences that allows collaborating with Faculty of Veterinary, Faculty Science and Technology, and Faculty of Fisheries and Marine. For the possible partnership in near future is student exchange, Prof. Amin said
The director of Airlangga Global Engagement (AGE) Prof., Dr., Ni Nyoman Tri Puspaningsih., M.Si said that the most potential partnership was research to become joint supervision. Double degree development also important to support UNAIR ranking in QS World University Rankings.
She also told there were many obstacles to develop international program, one of them was the high cost. Therefore, UNAIR officers expected to la Trobe University to provide scholarship for master and doctoral program.
淲e look forward to get free tuition fee, so vice versa, for the student from La Trobe University who will study here get free tuition either. It檚 like cost sharing to help each other, Prof. Nyoman said
In discussion, the both university looked forward to joint research encouragement which engage student within a semester. It also could help student to joint supervision and joint publication. It was good way to improve student skill, especially for master candidate to conduct high qualified research.
Currently, the existing collaboration between both universities is only for Faculty of Nursing. Through the discussion, they expected to be able in expanding the field of partnership with other faculties.
Prof. Nyoman stated there were three main program for the collaboration such as social, laboratory and also sciences that can relate to academic, non-academic culture and also joint research.
淲e focus on academic mobility, summer program internship, and also joint research that engage master and doctoral student and also double degree for master and doctoral program, Prof. Nyoman said (*)
