淭o expand international partnership, we will establish an international village. Not only corners, but also offices to provide service to public and universities in East Java or in Indonesia, stated the Executive Director of Airlangga Global Engagement (AGE) Prof., Dr., Ni Nyoman Tri Puspaningsih., M.Si., to UNAIR News, on Tuesday, August 29.
UNAIR has had Great BritainCorner, American Corner, and Warung Prancis, in the central library of UNAIR. There will be Taiwan Education Center (TEC) and Aussie Banget Corner.
Based on Prof. Nyoman statement, TEC will be inaugurated on September 12 and Aussie Banget Corner on September 15. For the inauguration, some rectors of Indonesian universities and Dikti檚 official will be invited.
Nyoman hoped that the international village establishment will develop partnerships of UNAIR with the international partners. It will bring positive effects to the public who want to collaborate with overseas institutions.
淗opefully later on, international village will have a branch, strategic for UNAIR international partnerships. Not only in education but also other aspects, added the Professor of Faculty of Science and Technology UNAIR.
As planned, the international village will be located around Airlangga Convention Center (ACC). For academicians of UNAIR or the public who want to collaborate with international institutions can visit the international village.
Meanwhile, TEC establishment on September 12, is expected to be able to facilitate all Taiwanese universities to collaborate with Indonesian universities.
淚t is beneficial for UNAIR. Besides for branding, people will pay more attention as for every partnership with Taiwan, they will have go to UNAIR. They will offer scholarships, student and lecturer exchange programs, joint research and publication collaborations. They will know the excellent potential of UNAIR, said Prof. Nyoman. (*)
