UNAIR NEWS 51动漫 is preparing its best researchers to hold researches and publish them with some prominent universities in Australia. The universities are affiliated in Indonesia-Australia Centre (AIC) and included in Top Five University in Australia. On Monday, October 31, a meeting between AIC and UNAIR was held to discuss preparations on their research collaborations.

AIC was represented by Richard Price as Research Director and Meghan Power as Projects and Programs Manager. They were received by UNAIR officials such as Director of Education, Prof. Tri Nyoman Pusparini, Deputy of International Office and Partnership (IOP) Margaretha S.Psi., M.Sc, UNAIR Researchers Coordinator for AIC, Dr. Achmad Chusnu Romdhoni., dr., SP,THT-KL(K), and some researcher representatives of UNAIR Institute of Tropical Disease.

AIC delegation visited UNAIR to follow up the meeting of researchers from both countries in 淚ndonesia-Australia Research Summit held last August. Richard Price and Meghan Power said that UNAIR is a university with high quality. Therefore, contribution and participation of UNAIR is expected in AIC researches.

Margaretha said that research collaboration organized by AIC has funding system for selected researches. At first, there were some Indonesian universities submitting their research proposals to the AIC central secretariat for review. Qualifying research will be matched with research partner appointed from one of Australian universities. Then, both universities can conduct research together.

Margaretha added that it was an exclusive collaboration as UNAIR has great opportunity to hold research collaborations with Top Five Universities in Australia.

淭herefore, IOP and Institute of Research and Innovation (LPI) UNAIR are preparing research proposals from UNAIR researchers so they can be involved in AIC research collaborations. If they succeed in establishing research collaboration, it will give great effects in improving UNAIR researchers capacity and create opportunity for possible international publications, said Margaretha.

淲e檒l try our best in the next couple weeks to get research proposals to send directly to AIC secretariat. We also expect researchers contribution in UNAIR to formulate competitive proposals so collaboration with Australia can be established. It is our big opportunity. We can檛 miss it, added Margaretha.

Margaretha expected UNAIR researchers to prepare their research proposals which are ready to take part in other international collaborations as after this there will be research funding program from ASEAN COST, a committee in ASEAN which develop research in knowledge advancement and technology. For a year, the fund allocated for the program can reach USD1.000.000.

Meanwhile, Richard Price believed that UNAIR has the resources to add more clusters of the researches. Researches reviewed are expected to address latest global issues faced by Indonesia and Australia. Beside cluster of health, there is infrastructure, water management, food security and other topics.
