UNAIR NEWS Faculty of Nursing (FKp) 51动漫 has made a new record in community service. With supports of 19 first master students on mental health, FKp UNAIR Master program held community service in RS Primasatya Husada Citra (PHC), Thursday, November 24. It was the first mental health student community service from nine batches of graduates.
淢eningkatkan Caring Perawat Melalui Pelaksanaan Asuhan Keperawatan Psikososial pada Penyakit Kronis di Rumah Sakit was the theme for the community service. Nurses of RS PHC took parts and it was opened by Head of the hospital, Dr. Drg. Dwi Aryani, MARS. Dean of Faculty of Nursing (FKp) UNAIR Prof. Dr. Nursalam, M.Nurs (Hons) was also present.
Prof. Nursalam stated his supports on the collaboration with this type B hospital. Caring on psychosocial treatment was the topic, in his opinion, all nurses must have caring soul.
Caring meant here is that the nurses must have golden heart, then knowledgeable to they can share the knowledge and the third they should be rich literally, so they can give.
漈hat檚 what we promoted to nurses, so in this topic there is responsibility, care, attention, etc. Regarding the psychosocial, there are many aspects to consider, so not only the biological aspect but also the psychological and social. All of them must be covered, said Prof. Nursalam, Professor of FKp UNAIR.
The seminar and workshop in PHC were presented by Rustafariningsih, S.Kep.NS., also Dr. Hanik Endang Nihayati, S.Kep. Ns., M.Kep., as the coordinator of mental health specification, Nursing Master Program, FKp UNAIR.

Head of RS PHC Dr. drg. Dwi Aryani, MARS., hoped that this collaboration can go on and bring mutual benefits to both institutions, to improve nurses caring, either knowledge and skill. For PHC, it is their commitment and values of the institution; professional, care and accountable.
漇o the knowledge on caring must be always updated so later the application during service can be better. We hope that way as RS PHC is a type B hospital, there are 247 rooms and there are more patients. So we expect those values to be achieved with caring service we give, added Dwi Aryani.
It was the first collaboration with FKp UNAIR. It is expected to go on in the future especially when Prof. Nursalam, according to Dwi, wanted to send the master students of S2 FKp UNAIR for residency in PHC as the facility meets the requirements, and his unit also expected a Memorandum of Understanding.
漈here are nursing students and doctors from private university holding PKL and practice here. If later there is a master student residency from UNAIR, there will be more values for the nurses. It should be mutual, she said.
Even now, the nurses and paramedic in PHC are expected to improve their knowledge and skills. They have educational activity on Thursday, 淪cientific Thursday. That was why, when there was an offer from UNAIR she agreed right away. There are five PHC nurses sent to learn at Nursing bachelor program in FKp UNAIR.
