Dr.Muh Madyan had great hopes that achievement can be improved in ONMIPA competition in 2019 as the representatives are still eligible to compete in 2019 and coaching from the team of supervisors from Faculty of Science and Technology (FST) still conducted and coordinated by student affairs directorate.

Director of Student Affairs Dr.M. Hadi Shubhan, SH., MH., CN., said that it was a great improvement, at least when it was compared to last year in Semarang. They managed to get two medals from five delegates sent to the competition.

Hadi Shubhan continued that potential students for Olympiad participants in UNAIR are evenly distributed in several faculties. They are not only from Faculty of Science and Technology (FST).Therefore, the Directorate of Student Affairs will explore the potential through coaching.

“The prospective olympiad participants at UNAIR are many, but they are still apathetic to join the competition, so it is our duty to nurture them.Fortunately, we always ask freshmen write acurriculum vitae (CV), from the CV we™ll know who of them joined OSN (National Science Olympiad) and we can coach them, “said Pak Hadi, his nickname.

“At UNAIR there is also a bond of ONMIPA alumni, so the alumni of OSN (from senior high school –ed) will also be coached and developed for the next event,” said Director of Student Affairs.M. Hadi Shubhan.(*)
