UNAIR NEWS Athletes of Pencak Silat Persaudaraan Setia Hati Terate Student Club (UKM PSHT) has made another achievement. This time, they won four medals in IAIN Cup 2017 held in Institut Agama Islam Negeri Tulungagung on January 18-21.
The winners were Nurul Istiqomah (Faculty of Fisheries and Marine student) for a gold medal in Class A Women Aminatuz (Faculty of Science and Technology student) for a silver medal in class C Women, Devy Nadia (Faculty of Humanities student) for a bronze medal in Class F Women. While in Women Double category, a silver medal was won by Uswatun Khasanah and Muafiah. In the competition, Nurul was named as the best fighter.
The PSHT UKM member Nanda Saiful Anam expressed his appreciation to his friends winning in the competition. Nanda said that they had trained for a month for preparation, and the fighters sent were only ten people.
淭he others lost in the finals, we need 1 to get four points. We lost but alhamdulillah we can continue tradition to bring medals, said Saiful. 淔or the competition we just sent ten people because of Community Service Program (KKN) activity, holiday and other things. And we just practiced for a month, he added. (*)
