UNAIR NEWS– Every year the Youth Generation of Airlangga Knights (AMERTA) becomes part of Freshmen Campus Orientation (PKKMB) 51动漫.After being opened directly by Student Executive Board (BEM) on Thursday, August 2, Amerta event was the starting place for the Airlangga Young Knights to know more about their beloved alma mater.

The phrase 淎lms bring blessings seemed to be used as guideline for the Amerta committee to include donation in a series of events “Amerta Candradimuka” on August 6.The Amerta Committee has always organized charity event every year.This was based on one of the Higher Education Tri Dharma namely community service.For this year, there will be distributed traditional toys and books as the output of this event this year is fostering values 媼of patriotism and love of culture.
“After it is calculated, 7000 traditional toys and reading books were collected and ready to be distributed,” said Abdul Chaq as Event Coordinator of 2018 Amerta Candradimuka Program.
Different from the previous year, he added, this year Amerta agreed to add traditional toys for donations.Because, nowadays more and more institutions and communities are engaged in the arts for children.So the Amerta committee wanted to provide the media and facilities needed by the institution or community.
“The plan is to donate them to 34 institutions or communities in Surabaya such as Sinau Village, Kampoeng Dolanan Surabaya, Lentera Kota, Pelangi Surabaya, UNAIR Teaches and other communities,” said Abdul Chaq.
Regarding the donations, he added that each freshman is required to bring 1 free type of book (except notebooks, magazines, and the like, ed).Meanwhile, the toy is rangedfrom0 to Rp.10,000.Abdul Chaq said that traditional toys donated will vary.The new students are required to bringtoyswhich are based on their faculty.Freshmen just see the type of toys they were required to bringin the Amerta module.
“They do not have to buy, if the freshmen have siblings who have it, it can be donated,” said Abdul Chaq.
In the end, Abdul Chaq reiterated that Amerta Candradimuka activity could be interpreted as aformulation.The students are trained and coached to become students with character.This as a manifestation of students supports in achieving UNAIR檚 vision and missions.
“Book and toys donation can be interpreted as one of the character building efforts for new students,” he concluded
